DIY MONDAY! Menu Board

Confession….I am REALLY bad at preparing dinners. I was bad BEFORE I had a baby, and now it’s embarrassing how bad I am. My poor husband! Most of my problem is I don’t plan ahead and then 5 o’clock rolls around and I don’t have any ingredients or enough time to make a dinner! (But somehow I found time to pin 100 recipes that looked really good to make). Anyways, I thought this would be a great aid in planning ahead! I could see it everyday so it would remind me before 5 o’clock rolls around that I need to make dinner and maybe even run to the store! It is very cute and can be made using any fabric you want so it matches your style! It can also be used as a visual reminders for things that need to be done that day.

DIY MONDAY! Wall Art

I love when decorations on peoples walls have sentimental value, but still look stylish! Here is an idea from Martha Stewart. You get a road map (which you can usually find for free at rest-stops), and stitch your route with a needle and thread! Pick a trip that is a tradition for your family, or maybe just a certain trip that was special to you. My husband and I are moving to Kansas City at the end of July and I am thinking of doing this for our road trip there!

Find out how to do this by visiting this link on Martha Stewart.

DIY MONDAY! Monoprint Fabric

I love walking into someones house and seeing such unique pillows adorning their couches!! Unfortunately, it seems like whenever you come across an awesome pillow, you have to fork out the big bucks for it! This is a really cool technique to make a pillow in any design you want! Infact, you could use this technique for anything! I am considering using it on one of my babies onesies! If anyone creates anything awesome, please send us a picture of your creation! I would love to see what everyone can come up with! Find the tutorial on Design Mom using this link!

DIY MONDAY! Lace & Frame Accessory Holder

What a cute idea to store/organize earrings and necklaces found on Pinterest!! Mine literally sit in a jewelry box all mingled together. Because it is such a disaster, I NEVER wear the jewelry I have! I love this idea so I can visually see everything I have and it is easy access!! There is no actual tutorial on this but it can easily be made by finding the frame you want ( can probably find one for super cheap at a thrift store) and stapling lace on the back side, which you can find at any craft store. VOILA! Easy Peasy!

How to wear Never Nola Baby Edition!

Alright, so I got the white pom pom bow on a clip so I could clip it onto headbands for my baby. It is the perfect size because it isn’t too huge on her head. However, I started experimenting to see how else I could use the bow and this is what I came up with! I love the look of dresses that have little rosettes or other fabric flowers on them.

AFTER

It is such a simple way to make your baby look even more unique!! Best part is that the pom pom bows are only five dollars in the etsy shop! In my opinion, they are the perfect every day bow for your little one! Click below to get your own!

DIY MONDAY!! Colored Pencil Jewelry

So I debated and debated whether to put this as a Green Friday post or DIY Monday, so I guess this is a two for one do-it-yourself project!! Colored Pencil Jewelry!

This is another great DIY project because you PROBABLY have some colored pencils laying around your house making this pretty much FREE! Another great thing is you can still use your colored pencils because you only need sections from them! I think this is a great project to do with your kids! The tutorial is over at Design Mom and the link is below!
